Artist Statement
In “Echoes of the Everyday: Sculptural Symphony in Metal and Wood,” I create public art that resonates with local communities, elevating their surroundings with imaginative wonder. Using materials like scrap metal and wood, I transform overlooked elements into striking sculptures that showcase their transformative potential. Each piece blends decoupage techniques with a contemporary vision, reflecting both the universal and the particular in the human experience.
I immerse myself in local cultures as I create these sculptures, allowing each artwork to mirror its location’s spirit and essence. “Echoes of the Everyday” is a tribute to the resilience and beauty of the ordinary, celebrating the extraordinary stories hidden in everyday materials. My goal is to make art an integral part of daily life, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with the sculptures. The audience’s interpretation and interaction with the artwork are essential to completing the artistic process and making them an integral part of the artwork.
