Artist Statement
In “Iran’s 19th Century”, we digitally explore the intricate layers of Iranian life during the Qajar period using contemporary decoupage. This collection presents a fresh and visually compelling reinterpretation of 19th-century Iran, transcending traditional historical representations.
The Qajar era was marked by dynamic change, blending tradition, political shifts, and cultural evolution. Through a contemporary perspective, our aim is to present a fresh take on the challenges, aspirations, and daily life experiences of Iranians in the 19th century.
