Artist Statement
The “Persian Patterns” series is a modern reinterpretation of Iranian heritage, offering an abstract take on traditional Persian art. This collection distills the essence of Iran’s rich cultural tapestry into contemporary forms, moving away from conventional representations. The goal is to breathe new life into Persian patterns and make them relevant to today’s global audience.
Inspired by the intricate geometries and vibrant colors of Persian art, each piece in this series becomes a visual poem celebrating cultural fluidity across eras. Through abstraction, I aim to evoke the deep emotional and cultural connections embedded within these patterns and invite viewers to engage with them personally.
The series employs diverse techniques, including experimental color use, digital manipulation, and mixed media, pushing the boundaries of traditional Iranian art. This versatility encourages an open-minded approach and invites viewers to rethink their perceptions of Iranian heritage.
“Persian Patterns” bridges the historical and contemporary, highlighting the enduring beauty of Iranian culture while embracing the dynamism of modern artistic expression. Through this series, I hope to spark a broader conversation about the evolving nature of cultural identity and inspire viewers to appreciate the richness and complexity of Iranian heritage in a new light.
