The “Portal of Perspectives”, project, showcased at the Abu Dhabi Art Fair in 2014, aimed to offer an innovative exploration of Emirati history and culture. By using a door as a canvas, historical photos of the Emirates were carefully arranged and painted onto its surface, creating a dynamic platform for collective storytelling.

The door, chosen for its symbolic significance in Emirati architecture as a representation of transition, was transformed into a visual tapestry that depicted the rich heritage and diverse history of the region. This blend of collage and painting techniques turned the door into a portal, inviting viewers to step into a narrative that transcended time.

In addition to the visual representation, the project involved interactive performances that encouraged participation from local and international visitors. Their spontaneous interactions with the door were captured through photography, contributing to the evolving narrative of the installation, and making the audience feel integral to the art experience.
