Artist Statement

In “Traces in the Sands: Nomadic Relics,” I breathe new life into the remnants of Nomadic life in the Gulf-Arab countries by creating installations within the Liwa desert. These artworks repurpose Nomadic dishes into symbolic artifacts, reflecting the lives, history, and traditions of Nomadic communities.

This immersive experience invites viewers to contemplate the enduring traces of Nomadic life in the desert. The scattered Nomadic dishes, marked by time and countless shared meals, become storytellers, blurring the lines between art and the natural landscape.

As viewers engage with these relics, they connect with the tangible remnants of Nomadic life, reflecting on the transient nature of human existence against the backdrop of the expansive desert. “Traces in the Sands: Nomadic Relics” celebrates the resilience and enduring spirit of Nomadic culture, prompting viewers to consider the interconnectedness of human experience with the landscapes that have been home to these communities for generations.
